I would like to hire a student as a Remedial Tutor, how can I do this?
The student must apply to an open recruitment via AP Recruit.
I have located a student who has applied to AP Recruit, how do I hire them?

Where do I send my new employee to complete their hiring paperwork?
Once you have finalized appointment documents in coordination with the Academic Personnel Office; you must provide the new hire with this form which will direct them to Student Employment Services. Reminder: students CANNOT work until they recive email confirmation that their new hire has sucessfully completed all required documents,
My student employee will be studying abroad for the semester, can I place the student employee on a Short Work Break?
Unfortunately, Short Work Breaks (SWB) are for short-term use only. You must separate the employee.
My student employee will be graduating, and we would still like to hire them as a tutor.
The student will no longer be classified as an active enrolled student and must be separated from the student tutor position. The candidate may apply to a non-student tutor position and be hired under the correct non-student title for the time being. Please contact APO in advance to avoid a break in service, or if there are questions.
I ran the R-103 report and noticed I have several tutor appointments that will be expiring, what should I do?
You will need to either need to (1) reappoint these students, or (2) separate them. If you will be renewing their contracts, the students will need to apply to a new recruitment, and the reappointment process must be followed (please see slide deck for more information) or – contact APO for clarification.
